NERO D’AVOLA

Nero d’Avola has historically had an exclusive vocation for winemaking, becoming the banner of Sicilian excellence in the world, strengthening the image of the island as a basin of native vines of extraordinary quality. The production of this variety is quite regular, it prefers short and poor pruning and poorly expanded training forms (goblet or espalier). In combination with other varieties it gives long aging wines with a cherry red color and a complex and deep aroma of red fruit, earth, and balsamic salts. In the mouth it is full-bodied, warm, dry with fine and graceful tannins.

PETIT VERDOT

Petit Verdot is best expressed in places other than that of origin because this vine prefers areas characterized by a warm, sunny, windy climate with little rainfall. All this favors its qualitative and slow maturation which, as we have seen, occurs late. Wines that are made entirely or mainly from Petit Verdot grapes have a very intense dark ruby red color; on the nose they release a bouquet of variegated aromas, including hints of red fruits, floral notes and pronounced spicy sensations; to the taste and to the palate they reveal softness, body, good acidity and tannins.
